OCHA experts arrived in Kherson to assess the situation following the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plant.

"Our colleagues from the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) were with representatives of five UN agencies and a number of NGOs in Kherson today to assess the damage following the destruction of the Kakhovskaya station dam, noting that they will also coordinate aid with local authorities and organizations," Russian news agency TASS quoted UN Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric as saying during a press conference.

The Russian Foreign Ministry denounced the destruction of the plant by the regime in Ukraine, saying in a statement: What happened was a terrorist act directed against purely civilian infrastructure that was planned in advance and deliberately by the Kiev regime for military purposes as part of the so-called counteroffensive of the Ukrainian armed forces.
