Chun Doo-hwan's grandson Jeon Woo-won, whom we met in
an apartment in New York,

opened up about the luxurious life of his family.

[Jeon Woo-won/Chun Doo-hwan's grandson: It was customary for all the family members to go (to Yeonhui-dong) almost every Sunday, almost as if God were serving them. If you look good, you get pocket money. I used to get a few million won. My daughters-in-law compete to look good. Dear Mrs. Yi Sun-ja.]

It is said that there were also special sports activities at this event.

[Jeon Woo-won/Chun Doo-hwan's grandson: My family had a custom of gathering every Sunday to play badminton. At that time, all the people who were members of the national badminton team came and taught my family and friends directly. I remember that each time we brought a few million won per person with pocket money in cash.]

Jeon also opened up about how his grandfather laundered the funds.

In 2019, I found out that I held unlisted shares in a cybersecurity company that I didn't even know existed, and it turned out to be a so-called barge boss.

[Jeon Woo-won/Chun Doo-hwan's grandson: In my house, the money goes to the bodyguards. A privately held joint stock company is established in the name of the bodyguards. The shares are transferred to the family members. Then we cannot follow the source of the funds.]

He also claimed that all of Chun Doo-hwan's grandchildren studied abroad in the United States, and that all of their tuition and living expenses were subsidized by their grandparents, and that these expenses were also remitted through money laundering.

[Jeon Woo-won/Chun Doo-hwan's grandson: The lady who worked in Yeonhui-dong, sent me the tuition through their account, and that's how we all get paid.]

He also mentioned the Chun family's political and history education.

[Jeon Woo-won/Chun Doo-hwan's grandson: I was indoctrinated (from an early age). My grandfather is a democracy hero, a democratic father, he has these great achievements, the Gwangju pro-democracy movement was a riot (we are victims, we have no money)]

Mr. Jeon said he would return to South Korea soon to be punished for his wrongdoings, including taking drugs, and that he would continue his exposé war until then.
