The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Syrian Astronomical Society confirmed that the eclipse that the American continent will witness on April 8 will not be seen in the Arab world.

Council President Dr. Muhammad Al-Asiri stated in a statement to SANA that the moon’s shadow will completely obscure the sun on Monday, April 8, and residents of North America and some regions of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans will see it, while a partial eclipse can be seen in western Europe and northern South America.

Al-Asri stated that the stages of the eclipse will begin at 15:42 PM Universal Time as a partial eclipse, and at 18:17 PM the eclipse will reach its maximum value.
