The conclusion of the third flight test

Starship, the last images of the SpaceX spaceship before the loss of signal

Elon Musk's company's rocket made it farther than the previous two attempts before being destroyed on its descent to Earth

"We lost spacecraft 28. As expected, we lost the data a couple of minutes ago. We haven't heard from the ship until now and so the team reported that the ship was lost. So no splashdown today, but once again it's incredible to see how far we've come this time."

So SpaceX's Dan Huot announced the conclusion of Starship's third flight test as it neared its goal, a splashdown in the Indian Ocean, about an hour after launching from the Starbase site in South Texas.
