The DPRK has successfully conducted tests on a new upgraded type of medium-range solid-fuel ballistic missile engine with high thrust.
"The country's missile industry successfully conducted the first ground tests of the first and second stage engines on the 11th and 14th of this month," the DPRK news agency reported today, after developing a new type of solid-fuel engine with high thrust for strategically important medium-range ballistic missiles.
The latest tests come "in response to the possibility of a serious and unstable security situation in the region due to the military complicity of enemies," the agency said, and the DPRK pledged on the third of this month to strengthen its military deterrent forces to ensure its security in the face of the US nuclear arsenal that targets it.
