Nintendo continues to work on its future museum. The CEO of Japanese video game company Shinya Takahashi gave an update on the project at the Nintendo Direct conference on Thursday, reports Phonandroid.
The Nintendo Museum, previously called "Nintendo Gallery", should open its doors in 2024 in a former factory located in Kyoto (Japan). The building was built in 1969 and renovated in 1988 to become a repair shop before closing permanently in 2016. This is where the video game company now plans to expose its entire history.

A more "real" Nintendo experience
The precise date of the inauguration of the place is still a mystery. The Japanese company assures, however, that it will house "a wide variety of products from Nintendo's history", such as historical artifacts and potentially forgotten, unknown or extremely rare games today.

In recent years, Nintendo has been developing a more real experience to get in touch with fans and gamers. For example, the firm has opened two theme parks around its different universes, one in Japan and the other in the United States.
In France, it is possible to see a similar initiative see the light of day soon. The youtubeur Benoît Theveny and the company Ici Japon Corp announced in early 2023 that they had plans to create a video game museum in France, recalls Phonandroid.
