Although we can not yet talk about commercial cardboard, the VW ID.Buzz is in any case already very popular everywhere it goes because of its frankly successful look. But as nice as it is, one of the points of disappointment can be its rather ordinary interior layout, with a 3-seater rear seat whose only particularity is to be sliding. Volkswagen, however, promised not to stop there, and the manufacturer has just put its money where its mouth is.

Here is the VW ID.Buzz long version, whose additional 25 cm (for a total of 4,962 m) benefit the wheelbase, therefore the rear roominess. Thanks to this, several interior layouts are proposed. In addition to the third-row two-seater bench, you can opt for a three-seater bench in the center, or two individual seats. Clearly, you can choose a 4, 5, 6 or 7-seater configuration. Awesome? Almost. Because we do not yet reach the level of modularity of a "real" multivan, with, for example, swivel center seats and a foldable shelf integrated into a central armrest.

Technically, this ID.Buzz XL uses the large 77 kWh battery and a 286 hp electric motor that the normal version does not have. VW also announces a future GTX version, with two engines and 339 hp. The autonomy is not yet announced, but will necessarily be lower than that of the short ID.Buzz. As for the price, it also remains unknown at the moment. And knowing that a basic ID.Buzz already costs 68,600 euros, it may sting.
