Once very present in Europe with Opel (before its sale to PSA), Saab (before killing the brand) and its "local brands" Cadillac and Chevrolet (which were on the end of the Korean models of the ex-Daewoo), General Motors was now only figurative in Europe, where you really have to know where to go to buy a Corvette, a Camaro, or a Cadillac. Rather than fighting in a market where competing with European models was too complicated, the group then focused on its own land and... on China. This is where GM has started rolling out a growing lineup of electric vehicles, and it is with these that it believes it has some potential again in Europe.

From the north

From 2024, the Americans will land in Europe, not through Normandy, but through Scandinavia. The first vehicles would likely be the Cadillac Lyric crossover, ready to battle with the Mercedes EQC, BMW iX3 and Tesla Y, among others. Closer to "the people", are evoked the Chevrolet Equinox EV (announced in the USA at less than 30,000 €) and the largest Blazer EV. There is even talk of importing Buick products, whose Chinese manufacture allows very competitive tariffs. More info in due course.
