"The services of the electronic identity card are temporarily unavailable exclusively for a technical problem in the provision of internet connectivity, caused by the fire that broke out yesterday near the Tiburtina Station, which involved fiber optic cables". This is when the Interior Ministry communicates in a note regarding the failure of the website of the Ministry of the Interior relating to the electronic identity card service, claimed by the collective of pro-Russian hackers 'No Name' on Telegram. "Technical activities are underway to restore the functioning of the system as soon as possible," the ministry concludes.

The pro-Russian hacker collective 'No Name' had claimed responsibility for the attack on Telegram, accusing Italy of "providing support to Ukraine" and of having no "independence" from "allies".
