While some of the engineers are working the latest developments of the new 100% electric versions of the Mini Cooper and Mini Countryman, another part has just created something more oldschool. In fact, it's more the marketing department that showcases something that already exists. And the name 1to6 is a clue. Here is the ultimate Mini with manual transmission.

999 copies

By unveiling this limited edition, the folks at Mini have indeed confirmed that it is "99% sure" that the John Cooper Works 1to6 Edition will be the brand's latest manual transmission car. They specify "including for next-generation thermal models", which indicates that the strict 100% electric is not for now. Mechanically, the John Cooper Works retains its 2.0 turbo of 231 hp.

The specificities are therefore only aesthetic. The 1to6 Edition will only be offered in black, with a racing stripe running from the end of the hood to the rear bumper. We also like the gear lever which is a visual and tactile pleasure in itself, the "1to6" logo engraved in the dashboard, and the inscription "1 of 999" that can be seen through the sunroof. Prices are not yet known.
