Elon Musk announced Friday that he has appointed Linda Yaccarino, until then head of advertising at NBCUniversal, as the new chief executive of Twitter, six months after buying the social network. "She will focus mainly on business, while I will take care of product design and new technologies," he said in a tweet.

The billionaire founder of SpaceX, who bought Twitter in October 2022, had pledged to leave the head of the social network following a survey he had published and lost. Twitter has changed a lot since taking over, with a paid certification system and many departures in developer teams.
