Launched in 2019, the Peugeot 2008 is indeed a commercial cardboard, since it has already sold nearly 700,000 units. Even better: it has seriously contributed to the brand's energy transition, since more than 10% of the 2008 sold (more than 75,000 copies) are 100% electric versions. In short, the model has reached mid-career, and it was time to update it. First step: make aesthetic alterations to put it more in line with the current range. The new front is noticeably more assertive, and features the new brand logo. At the rear, the 2008 receives a new light signature.

More than 400 km

We then go inside to discover new seat coverings with a more upscale appearance, a revised 3D display for the dashboard, and especially the 10-inch central screen as standard on all versions, whereas it was previously reserved for the higher finish. Of course, Peugeot has extended the connected functions of the multimedia system. Mechanically, the only immediate novelty concerns the e-2008. As on the e-208, the electric motor increases from 136 to 156 hp, and the battery increases from 50 to 55 kWh. The WLTP range increases from 345 to 406 km. The rest of the catalog is unchanged, with the 100 and 130 hp versions of the 1.2 PureTech petrol engine, and the 1.5 BlueHDI 130 hp diesel. At the beginning of 2024, the new 136 hp hybrid engine will also arrive, already launched on the 3008. Rates are not yet known.
