What you have before you is literally a call to trial for intellectual property theft. Between its mix of design and the use of a surname, that of Jacky Ickx, six-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which we imagine must be the subject of a copyright, the Ickx happily picks everywhere. So this is a clue as to its country of origin: China, of course!

SAIC

The Ickx K2 is actually a rebadged version of a model that already exists in China since 2019, the Beijing BJ40. Ickx is apparently a brand, which evolves under the banner DR Automobiles, itself a member of the SAIC fold, 7th group in the world, owner among others of MG. And why talk about it here? Because the K2 has just been presented in Italy, where DR Automobiles already markets the Sportequipe S7 (but where will they look for such names!?), which we saw at the 2022 Paris Motor Show. Since it has a foot in Europe, it could be that we soon see here this real 4x4, equipped with a 2.0-liter petrol engine of 162 hp, and sold in the Boot from 54,500 €.
