The solution may be highly criticized by the ayatollahs of the battery electric car, but we tend to believe that if a manufacturer like Toyota, which has never been wrong, continues to believe in hydrogen, it is because the potential is real. But this is not the debate of the day. The information is that a second fuel cell model will join the Mirai. And this time, Toyota will even combine two of its flagship technologies.

Crown

The model in question is the Crown. Unknown in Europe, but not in the USA and China, the Crown is Toyota's high-end sedan, very popular in Japan by limousine services, and captains of industry who find a Lexus too ostentatious. It is in its 16th generation, and will therefore exist in a "hydrogen" version. Better still, it will also be possible to couple the fuel cell to a hybrid system, to reduce hydrogen consumption, as with a conventional gasoline hybrid.
