In recent years, SsangYong's story has been tightrope walking. Threatened with bankruptcy several times, the brand has found refuge and stability within KG Group, a Korean industrial consortium, active among others in the chemical and steel industries. Recently, we learned that the automotive business had been renamed KG Mobility. However, the name SsangYong will continue to be used for some time to come, history, one imagines, not to start from scratch in terms of notoriety. But the topic of the day is the future models, which have just been unveiled at the Seoul Motor Show.



Only electric SUVs

The first roped is the Torres. Already marketed in some markets, this SUV with a very successful look had been promised to Europe in electric version. In the absence of technical data, we now have the images of this Torres EVX, which should arrive in 2023. For later, KG Mobility is announcing even more electric SUVs. First a "full size", code name F100, with a modern and muscular design. Then, the O100 is a pick-up that takes over the entire front part of the Torres, and that we see one day take the place of the current Musso. Finally, nostalgia sequence with the KR100, which evokes without false pretense the Korando of the late 90s, with which SsangYong had met its first European success.
