At the risk of sounding like retrogrades, we are not the last to complain about the overabundance of new technologies, especially when they seem to us to bring nothing. Mercedes' hyperscreen? Yes. The small extra screen in front of the passenger at Porsche, Ferrari and soon Lamborghini? Forget it. Central screens more and more excessive? Must stop! But in the VW ID.2, the technology has found a frankly cool use. But perhaps we say this precisely because we are retrograde.

Old school display

The designers of the car had the brilliant idea of offering "old-fashioned" display modes. For the instrument cluster, we can for example opt for a Beetle counter, or for the typical dashboard of the Volkswagen of the 80s and 90s. A quick glance to the right, and we see, on the multimedia screen, an analog dial of "antique" car radio. Among the multitude of crazy gadgets that can be found in a modern car, this one, we want it! We like the idea all the more that 5 years ago, your servant had suggested it to a manufacturer known for its very characteristic dashboards. So, Mr Citroën, wasn't that idea nice?
