This is certainly not a surprise, but we are still delighted with the official reveal of this new Lamborghini which remains faithful to its tradition. The big V12 is there, and the electric motors are its assistants. But above all, explanation of name. As usual, the manufacturer found the name of his car in the Spanish dico. Revuelto is an adjective whose usage translates to turbulent, restless or tumultuous. A whole program, which fits well with the look and the technical sheet of the car. And since we're talking about it...

Expression of aggressiveness

We will not spend too much time commenting on the design of the Revuelto. Everyone will make up their own mind, but we can just say that it is as aggressive and spectacular as you would expect from a Lamborghini. It will also be said that the manufacturer has never paid so much attention to aerodynamics. Active aerodynamics that, depending on the situation, optimize the cooling of the V12, electric motors and brakes, glue the car to the ground, or on the contrary reduce resistance for more fuel efficiency. Efficiency inseparable from the world of electrification, since the three electric motors (one per front wheel and a 3rd integrated into the new 8-speed dual-clutch auto transmission) allow the Revuelto to evolve in 100% electric mode. But not for very long, since the battery (housed in the central tunnel, between the occupants) announces a capacity of only 3.8 kWh. Lamborghini does not bother to give a WLTP electric range.

More than 1,000 hp

As we said, electricity is therefore mainly used for performance. Together, the 12.6-litre V5 (825 hp alone) and the three electric motors deliver up to 1,015 hp in Corsa mode. The power is obviously distributed between all four wheels, and the fact that the front wheels are driven by electric motors de facto provides the car with diabolically accurate Torque Vectoring. It is therefore easy to imagine that this beast of 1,700 kilos (very honest weight thanks to the massive use of carbon) will be of a dizzying agility. Two more figures: 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, 350 km/h in peak. It remains to be seen the launch date and... price.
