Albano, a Filipino guard for professional basketball team Wonju DB, was selected as MVP as a domestic player for the first time in history as a non-Korean player.

[Kim Hee-ok/KBL President: Congratulations to Wonju DB Promy Lee Seon Albano.]

Albano was selected as the domestic player MVP, beating teammate Kang Sang-jae by 3 votes in the press vote.

When KBL selected the winner, it had Asian quota players compete with domestic players, and Albano, a Filipino, received the unique title of domestic player MVP.

Albano played an average of 15.9 points and 6.6 assists this season, leading DB to the regular season championship.

[Ethan Albano/DB guard: It is very special to make history (as the first domestic player MVP as a foreigner), and I am especially happy to receive MVP in a great league called KBL.]

Foreign player MVP goes to DB's Didric Lawson. DB's two foreign players swept the domestic and foreign player MVP awards.
