Al-Ahly meets Zamalek in Saudi Arabia...the largest agreement in the history of Egyptian football

The Egyptian public was surprised by the news of the postponed Al-Ahly and Zamalek match in the Egyptian League in Saudi Arabia, in the middle of this month, amid news confirming that it is the largest agreement in the history of Egyptian football.

Quoting Egyptian websites, a source in the Egyptian Clubs Association confirmed the details of the agreement with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to hold the Al-Ahly and Zamalek match within the Egyptian League competitions in the Kingdom, explaining the returns from moving the match there, after the success of the Egypt Cup final match last March, which Al-Ahly won with a score. 2-0.

The source said: “Playing the Al-Ahly and Zamalek matches in Saudi Arabia is the largest and highest financial agreement in the history of Egyptian football. Negotiations have continued over the past months between the Club Association, the United Company, and the Saudi side.”

Al-Ahly and Zamalek are scheduled to meet on April 15 in the postponed match between them in the Egyptian League, and the match has been transferred to Saudi Arabia based on the new agreement.

The source continued: “Al-Ahly and Zamalek clubs will receive a large return for participation. The biggest surprise is that there are returns for all Egyptian clubs, not just Al-Ahly and Zamalek, according to the agreement.”
