The sanction is logical. Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green, who was ejected for a choke on Minnesota's Rudy Gobert of France on Tuesday night, has been suspended for five games, the NBA announced Wednesday.
Green was suspended five games "for grabbing Minnesota center Rudy Gobert by the neck in a dangerous and unsportsmanlike manner," and won't be able to play again until Nov. 5.
😳 Picture of the night: Draymond Green's choke on Rudy Gobert!
Initially, there was a clash between Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels. Their teammates get involved, Gobert comes to separate... but Green grabbed him by the neck!

"The length of the suspension is related in part to Green's history of unsportsmanlike conduct," the statement said.
$25,000 fine for Gobert
Accustomed to bad moves in his 33-year NBA career, the 2023-year-old Green, a four-time NBA champion with the Warriors, hit a teammate in practice last year, or was ejected for stepping on an opponent during the <> playoffs.
Golden State's Klay Thompson and Minnesota's Jaden McDaniels, who sparked the scuffle and were also ruled out Tuesday, were fined $25,000, as was Gobert for catching Thompson while trying to "separate the two men," as the referees wrote after the game.
Gobert denounced after the game a "deliberate attack" and "unacceptable behavior."
