Qatar's Al Ahli includes German Draxler from Paris Saint-Germain

Al Ahli, a rival in the Qatar Stars League, announced on Monday his contract with German Julian Draxler from Paris Saint-Germain, the French champion.

The Qatari club said in a statement, "Al-Ahli club announced its official contract with German star Julian Draxler for two seasons ending in the summer of 2025."

The 2014 World Cup winner began his career at Schalke before moving to Wolfsburg in 2015.

Draxler, 29, left for Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 and won the French league title four times before moving on loan to Benfica last season.

Draxler became the third player from Paris Saint-Germain to leave for the Qatari league after being preceded by the duo of Abdou Diallo and Marco Verratti to Al Arabi, the runners-up of the league champions last season.

Al Ahli occupies the penultimate place in the league without a score after losing in the first three games.
