Serbian Novak Djokovic defeated Spain's Carlos Alcaraz in four sets 6-3, 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 and became the first tennis player to qualify for the Roland Garros final. Djokovic, seeded No. 3, overturned the odds by beating the No. 1 seed in the ATP rankings and the draw in the semifinals, at the end of a match that lasted three hours and 15 minutes. An injury at the beginning of the third half affected Alcaraz for the rest of the match.

In the second semi-final, they will face Norway's Casper Ruud (seeded No. 4) and Germany's Alexander Zverev (No. 22 seed). Roland Garros is the second Grand Slam of 2023 underway on the Parisian red clay, with a prize pool of 49 million and 600 thousand euros.
