Syrian international football referee Shadi Tayseer Al-Shahf has been awarded the Asian Academy of Promising Referees in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Al-Shahf said in a statement to SANA correspondent that the duration of study at the academy is four years, each year included four semesters, which included physical, technical and linguistic tests and keeping abreast of everything new.

Al-Shahf added that he graduated from the Academy with the Syrian referee Muhammad Channel, and this opens the way for him to enter the elite rulers of Asia, and also increases his responsibility and continuous work to reach the best, noting the support and encouragement he received in his journey at the Academy and arbitration by his family, friends, fans, and the Syrian and Asian Football Federations.

Al-Shahf began refereeing 14 years ago, and his start was from Shahba Club in Sweida, and he won the international badge for the first time in 2021.
