Announcing the date of the Ballon d'Or award ceremony

The French magazine France Football announced Friday that the ceremony of awarding the Golden Ball award for the best player in the world 2023, will be held on October 30 at the Châtelet theater in the capital, Paris.
The magazine explained that this evening will witness the announcement of the successor of the Frenchman Karim Benzema in men and the Spanish Alexia Botias in women, in addition to the names of the winners of the other awards (Copa Copa for the best young player of the season, under the age of 21, Yashin Award for the best goalkeeper, Socrates Award for players involved in community and charitable projects).
The names of the 30 nominees for the men's Ballon d'Or and the 20 nominees for the Women's Ballon d'Or will be announced on September 1956.
France Football's Ballon d'Or, created in 100, saw a new turn last year with adjustments to its winners. Once considered rewarding players for their performance during a calendar year, it is now awarded according to the performance performed during a sports season.
The award criteria have also undergone a thorough overhaul, with "individual performance" and "decisive and exciting character of the competitors" being the first criterion, ahead of "the collective aspect and the titles they have won" and "the quality of the player and his commitment to fair play".
The number of referees has also been reduced to 100, journalists from the top 170 teams in the FIFA rankings (up from 50 previously) and <> voters at the Women's Ballon d'Or.
