Al-Jaish, Tishreen, Al-Majd, Al-Karama, Al-Wahda, Al-Wathba and Jableh qualified for the quarter-finals of the Republic Cup football competition, after defeating Al-Shorta, Al-Fatwa, Al-Tali'a, Nabul, Al-Hurriya, Talbiseh and Al-Ittihad Ahli Aleppo in the round of 16 in a row.

Al-Jaish qualified after defeating Al-Shorta by three goals to two in their match at Al-Jalaa Stadium in Damascus.

In the match, which was held at Al-Hamdaniya Stadium in Aleppo, Tishreen qualified after defeating Al-Fatwa on penalties 5-4 after drawing with two goals for the same in the original time.

Al-Majd qualified from the gate of its rival Al-Tali'a by beating it on penalties 4-2 in their match at Al-Nabek Stadium in Damascus countryside, and the original time ended with a negative draw, while Al-Karama booked its seat in the next round by defeating Nubl with two goals without a response in the match that brought them together at Al-Baath Stadium in Jableh.

From the gate of freedom, Al-Wahda qualified after the match that took place between them at Al-Fayhaa Stadium in Damascus ended with Al-Wahda winning two goals to one.

As for Al-Wathba, it reached the next round of the competition by defeating Talbiseh by seven goals without a response during their meeting at Khalid bin Al-Walid Stadium in Homs, and Jableh qualified by defeating Al-Ittihad Ahli Aleppo with a goal without reply in their match at the municipal stadium in Hama.

The round of 16 competitions will conclude tomorrow with one meeting between the governorate and Hittin at Khalid bin Al-Walid Stadium in Homs.
