It was announced. It's now official. Mauricio Pochettino was appointed manager of Chelsea on Monday. The Argentine has been back on the sidelines since his dismissal from PSG in the summer of 2022. His mission? Turn around the London club after a nightmarish season ended in 12th place in the Premier League and elimination in the quarter-finals of the Champions League by Real Madrid (2-0, 2-0).

Mauricio Pochettino, who signed a two-year contract with an additional year as an option, is making his return to the Premier League four years after being sacked by Tottenham. Spurs fans will appreciate it, who hate the Blues.

"Mauricio is a world-class coach with an outstanding track record," co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali said in a statement.
