Minrath to miss Shabab Al Ahli in Super West Asian basketball finals

The assistant coach of the first basketball team at Shabab Al-Ahli Club revealed the absence of American professional Nicholas Minrath from the ranks of the "Knights" in the "Super West Asia" championship, which will be hosted by Shabab Al-Ahli for the final qualifiers from June 9 to 18, and qualifying for the Asian Champions Club Championship.
Ateeq told Emirates Today: "Family ties prompted Minirath to travel to America, and his inability to be with the team in the first edition of the Super West Asia."
He explained: "Nicholas is one of the most prominent elements that shone at the level of this tournament, and won during its matches many awards, whether as the best influential player or scorer, but compelling circumstances prompted the player to leave for America, despite the attempts of the club's management to convince him to continue and stay and be in this important continental forum."
Regarding the alternative options available to Shabab Al-Ahli to compensate Munirath, Ateeq said: "There are no names currently on the table, in light of the careful search process, coupled with the contract with a professional of the same quality and level and to be the required addition to the team."
