Doubts over Bellingham in Dortmund's title match
Hovering doubts about the participation of England international Jude Bellingham with Borussia Dortmund in the title match against Mainz on Saturday, within the 34th and final stage of the Bundesliga.
Dortmund lead the Bundesliga standings by two points from Bayern Munich (70 to 68), and must win at home as they have lost only one league game this season, to be crowned champions for the first time since 2012 and end the Bavarian giants' ten-year dominance.
Coach Edin Terzic said: "For Jude, there is a question mark. Over the last few days, he's stepped up his training schedule, it's looking good, but he hasn't trained with us on the pitch yet."
The 19-year-old has been suffering from knee pain since his team's 5-2 win over Borussia Monchengladbach in the penultimate stage, and missed the last victory against hosts Augsburg (3-0), which lifted him to the top the day after Bayern's home loss against Leipzig.
Terzic explained: "We'll see in training today (Thursday) and tomorrow, and we'll decide if that's enough to start a start. We definitely want him to be in the group on Saturday."
The Spanish and German press indicated that the promising midfielder is in advanced negotiations with Real Madrid, so he may play his last match in Dortmund on Saturday and conclude his career with the black and yellow team with the league title after three seasons of arriving in the Ruhr area.
