The race is held under the patronage and support of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, and organized by the Dubai International Marine Club as the conclusion of the marine season 2022-2023, as it is the most prestigious event, embodying the image of loyalty to the past of parents and grandparents and a message to generations established by the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The organizing committee monitors all reports received by the National Center of Meteorology and the oil field points in the heart of the Arabian Gulf, in order to identify the state of the sea and the expected wind speeds in the coming hours, to ensure the security and safety of the participating sailors, as well as the safe arrival of all bearings, boats and marine pieces from the coast of the country, to the starting place on Sir Bu Nair Island.

The Higher Organizing Committee, chaired by Ahmed bin Meshar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai International Club, was keen within the framework of its continuous meetings, to stand on all preparatory matters and follow up the daily work cycle, as it held a meeting yesterday afternoon to learn about the latest equipment, follow up the work of the committees, and take the necessary measures to make the upcoming race a success, in cooperation with success partners from government departments and bodies and national institutions.

The Supreme Organizing Committee has subjected the issue of determining the start date of the race to more time, as the closing date for registration to participate in the race approaches on Tuesday afternoon, where the number of participating ships will be announced in preparation for their transformation towards Sir Bu Nair Island, after the movement of the Dubai International Marine Club convoy from Port Rashid in Dubai, through marine vessels that will carry members of the Supreme Organizing Committee, technical and logistical assistance committees, referees, in addition to the media partner team from Dubai Media Incorporated.
