Crown Prince of Fujairah crowns winners of women's fencing World Cup

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, stressed that the emirate is a strategic partner in supporting global efforts aimed at developing martial arts sports of all kinds, and enabling women's participation in them in order to enhance their presence and excellence globally.
This came during His Highness' attendance at the conclusion of the Women's Fencing World Cup for the epee weapon and crowning the winners of the tournament, which was held under the patronage of His Highness at Zayed Sports Complex, in the presence of Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, and Sheikh Eng. Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the UAE Federation and the Arab and Asian Fencing Federations.
His Highness pointed to the high position occupied by the Emirate of Fujairah on the map of cities organizing and hosting the most prominent continental and international championships, stressing the support of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, for the local sports system, by providing capabilities and incentives that make it a partner in supporting the comprehensive development process of the country, and raising it to the best international levels.
He praised the clear efforts of the organizing committee of the tournament to make the event a success, stressing the importance of continuing constructive partnerships with international federations for various types of combat games, praising the honorable results and objectives that support the sports tournaments hosted by the Emirate of Fujairah, and contribute to attracting clubs, teams, players and talented people from different continents of the world.
His Highness crowned the winning players in the tournament, which was attended by 226 of the most prominent fencing players from 48 countries around the world, and was held at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah from 19 to 21 May, jointly organized by the UAE Fencing Federation and the Fujairah Martial Arts Club.
The closing ceremony was attended by Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, and Abdul Moneim Al Husseini, Vice President of the International Fencing Federation.
