This is information first given this Friday by the LesViolets.com site, specialized in TFC news, then confirmed by L'Equipe. The Champions Trophy will most likely not take place on August 5 in Bangkok, Thailand, as originally planned.

This match between the winner of the championship (PSG, 99%) and that of the Coupe de France (Toulouse) could be postponed to next winter, in another foreign country, after being hosted by Tel Aviv in Israel in 2021 and 2022.

€4 million at stake

The organizer would no longer wish to organize the meeting, for reasons still to be determined, which would deprive the LFP of a nice sum of 4 million euros. This announcement should be formalized in the coming days.

TFC will therefore not be able to hope to win a second trophy in three months. But Toulouse fans have learned to wait, since 66 years have separated the conquest of the two France Cups of the club, in 1957 and 2023.
