THE ESSENTIALS

  • The rollercoaster of Olympique Lyonnais in Ligue 1 has annoyed its supporters for many months, and the setback last week at Clermont (2-1) did not help.
  • Dropped to four points of Losc (5th) three days from the end, the men of Laurent Blanc (7th) are more than ever in a bad position in the race for the Europa League Conference.
  • However, the delicate reception of AS Monaco (4th), this Friday (21 hours on Prime Video) could still be a turning point in the quest for Top 5, in case of success of the band to Alexandre Lacazette.
  • The probable composition of OL: Lopes - Gusto, Diomande, Lukeba, Tagliafico - Tolisso, Mendes, Caqueret - Cherki - Barcola, Lacazette.
  • The probable composition of AS Monaco: Nubel - Vanderson, Disasi, Maripan, Caio Henrique - Fofana, Camara - Diatta, Golovin - Volland, Ben Yedder.

09:45 : A little reading (and listening) to make you wait until tonight

We have obviously been interested in recent days in the sudden departure of Jean-Michel Aulas, with two articles to the key. One dedicated to his legendary bad faith, via several episodes that have remained famous. The other on the possibility (or not), to see the Stade de Décines, clearly the ultimate project of his reign at the head of OL, bear his name in the coming years. Find this below, as well as our podcast dedicated to JMA here. See you tonight friends!

09:30 : Hello Minutos!

We are for good in the final sprint friends, attacking this Friday the 36th day of Ligue 1. And we offer you a poster a priori very nice to start, with this OL-AS Monaco at 21 pm. It's simple: three games from the end, ASM must try to secure its fourth place synonymous with the Europa League (Losc is five points behind), RC Lens and OM having flown away in the race for the Champions League. In the opposite camp, Olympique Lyonnais (7th) (again) disappointed its supporters by losing Sunday in Clermont (2-1). But nothing is "grated" in the race for the Conference Europa League, four points behind Losc (5th). And this even if Laurent Blanc has claimed the opposite, hot, in Clermont. When we see the rage released by Alexandre Lacazette to overthrow Montpellier (from 1-4 to 5-4) in the last match at Parc OL, and the legitimate desire of the group to please its historic president Jean-Michel Aulas, ousted last week by John Textor, we would be surprised not to see Lyon fight to the end for Europe at the end of the season.
