Athletes stressed that Sharjah's biggest goal was to win the ADNOC Professional League Shield title in the first division, but it was accomplished this season by winning the President's Cup and Super Cup titles deservedly, in light of his possession of distinguished players at a high level who are considered the most expensive and highest market value of (41.19 million euros), as well as owning the best coach in the tournament represented by Romanian Olario Cosmin, stressing the importance of the club's management from now planning for the next season and the importance of being The team's ambition is to win the league title along with other championships.

They told Emirates Today: "Although Sharjah finally won the President's Cup title for the second time in a row, which is the most expensive local tournament, the real measure of any team, coach and players is to win the league title."

Sharjah finished the season in seventh place in the ADNOC Professional League standings, which was won by Shabab Al Ahli, with 43 points (playing 26 matches, winning 12, drawing seven, losing the same, scoring 42 goals and conceding 21 goals).

Sharjah had signed important stars on the world stage in search of the league title, led by Spaniard Lako Alcacer, Bosnian Miralem Pjanic, and Greek Kostas Manolas.

The former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ittihad Kalba Club, Issa Al-Dhabahi: «Compared to the great material and moral support enjoyed by the Sharjah team and the large spending on the club's contracts of national and foreign players and the presence of a great coach such as Cosmin, it was supposed to win the league title and a large difference of points from the second-place holder».

For his part, former member of the Board of Directors of the Football Association and sports analyst Dr. Salim Al Shamsi said that what Sharjah achieved in the season by winning the President's Cup title for the second time in a row in addition to winning the Super Cup is a great achievement for the club, especially winning the title of the most expensive tournaments, but the real measure for any team is winning the league title.

Al Shamsi pointed out that «who achieves the league championship is the successful coach», considering that «Sharjah has all the ingredients that make it eligible to win the league title with the presence of distinguished foreign players and a high-level coach», considering that «the cup championship is decided by four matches while the league journey remains long and difficult through 26 rounds».

Former international player and legal advisor Salem Hadid stressed that all indicators indicated that Sharjah's ambition was greater by winning all the season's championships, especially the league championship, in addition to the cup and super titles, based on the deals and the quality of the players who were attracted to Sharjah Club.

He said: «One of the positives is that the team won the Cup and Super titles, and this is a good thing, but there have been some failures that cause the team to decline after it was the leader of the league teams at the beginning of the season, the real measure».

Hadid called for addressing the mistakes that he described as affecting the team in the league to avoid their recurrence, stressing that «criticism of some of the negatives that occur in the team is out of concern for the club and not just criticism».

Salem Hadid added: «Sharjah compensation for the loss of the league by winning the Cup and Super Championships means that it achieved somewhat the ambition of the management of Sharjah Club and Sharjah Football Company and the club's fans, but the biggest ambition was in the league».

Sharjah has 43 points (played 26 games, won 12, drew seven, and lost the same).

The fans expected a better performance for Sharjah's big deals: Alcacer, Pjanic and Manolas.
