Syrian player solves Arsenal problem with the most important deal of the summer

British media confirmed that Arsenal will get a strong morale boost to sign the most important deal they seek next summer, after Brighton approached the inclusion of a Syrian player.

The British newspaper Evening Standard reported that Brighton approached the signing of Syrian Mahmoud Daoud in a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund.

She added that the player, who holds dual Syrian and German citizenship, is a good option for Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi to compensate for the possible departure of a number of prominent midfielders.

Arsenal have been chasing Caicedo since the winter transfer window, while Argentina's Mac Allister is also close to leaving Brighton next summer.

De Zerbi admitted he admired the 27-year-old Syrian, stressing that the official contract has not yet taken place.
