The death of the former Barcelona captain on the day of the announcement of the "Catalan" champion of the Spanish league

Ferran Olivia, captain of Spain's 1964 European Cup winners, died on Sunday at the age of 86.
The former Barcelona defender, who made more than 500 appearances for the Catalan giants between 1956 and 1969, won La Liga twice (1959 and 1960) and lifted the Copa del Rey four times (1957, 1959, 1963 and 1968).
Barcelona said on their website: "During his time as a player he was a first-class defender."
Olivia served as Barcelona manager under President José Luis Nunes from 1989 to 1993.

Alevia's death on Sunday coincided with the same day that Barcelona were declared La Liga winners for the 27th time in their history.
