Boxer dies after winning the ring (video)

Filipino boxer Kenneth Igano, 22, died from Jason Vacularin's blows in the Blue Bay series as he had grown up throughout the fight to the end and shook hands with his opponent before declaring him victorious by the unanimous vote of judges.

Egano collapsed after the win after losing consciousness in the ring and Filipino boxing legend Pacquiao was keen to help Igano immediately and was taken to hospital, and four days later he was pronounced dead by the Philippine Board of Games and Entertainment.

After receiving the news of Igano's death, Pacquiao said in remarks carried by international news agencies with pain: "There is nothing more precious than human life. Boxing is really a dangerous sport and boxers deserve nothing but respect and they put their lives on the line."

Former world champion Pacquiao runs the Blue Bay Blue series in the Philippines and is the only boxer in history to have won titles in eight different weight categories.
