Max Verstappen comes back from ninth place in qualifying and dominates the Formula 1 Miami GP ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez, who started from pole position but was unable to keep up with the Dutchman, increasingly the leader of the world championship. For Red Bull this is the fourth double in five races in the World Championship. Fernando Alonso completes the podium, third with Aston Martin.

Colourless test for the Ferraris: Carlos Sainz, also penalized by 5" for exceeding the speed limit allowed in the pitlane at the time of making the stop, finished fifth behind George Russell's Mercedes, while the other red of Charles Leclerc finished seventh, behind Lewis Hamilton. Completing the top ten are the two Alpines of Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon, respectively eighth and ninth, and the Haas of Kevin Magnussen.
