Al Ahly's delegation arrived in the UAE to play the Egyptian Super League match despite Zamalek's withdrawal from the match by an official decision, as the Egyptian league champions last season, as the Egyptian Football Association and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council announced the second party in the match next Friday.
A member of the Egyptian Football Association, Ihab El-Komy, revealed the second party in the match after Zamalek's apology, as he confirmed the approval of Pyramids Club to participate in the Egyptian Super Championship in the UAE instead of Zamalek Club.
Al-Komi said, in press statements to the Egyptian media that according to the regulations will participate Pyramids in the Egyptian Super Championship, and the Federation obtained official approval to participate in the tournament after contacts between the two parties.
The Board of Directors of Zamalek Club, headed by Counselor Mortada Mansour, has unanimously decided to apologize for not participating in the Egyptian Super Cup to be held on May 5 in Abu Dhabi following a crisis with the Football Association for the player Mahmoud Kahraba.
