The Samsung Lions snapped a four-game winning streak thanks to a comeback hit by pinch-hitter Lee Sung-kyu.

KT Wiz fell into a shocking eight-game losing streak.

Samsung won the away match against KT at Katy Wizz Park in Suwon today (4th) by a score of 8-29 and 3.

This leaves Samsung, which has won four in a row in the last four games, looking to leapfrog to the top.

Samsung started the first inning with a strong hit against KT starter Ko Young-pyo.

Back-to-back hits by Kim Ji-chan and Jose Pirela led to a no-out at first and third base when Ja-Wook Koo blasted a pitcher's infield hit to score the go-ahead run.

Minho Kang followed with a right-field hit to make it 2-1.

But the ensuing no-outs didn't score any extra runs on first and third base.

KT fought back and made up for one run in the bottom of the second inning when Jang Sung-woo, who hit a two-run homer, was brought in by Oh Yoon-seok on a right-field hit.

In the fourth inning, leadoff hitter Baekho Kang blasted a solo home run that went over the right-field fence like a bullet to tie the game at 4-1.

The tight balance was broken in the eighth inning.

Samsung took a 1-3 lead early in the eighth inning against KT second pitcher Son Dong-hyun when Lee Sung-kyu, who had hit a two-out first and second base, delivered a timely hit that landed in front of center field.

Starting pitcher Won Tae-in threw 2 balls through the seventh inning and had 0 hits, but Samsung, who was held to two runs, secured a one-run victory with right-hander Lee Seung-hyun on the mound in the bottom of the eighth inning and left-hander Lee Seung-hyun in the ninth.

After being pushed back to ninth place by a flurry of injuries, KT fell into an eight-game losing streak in 1,3 days since the April 2-May 2, 1 game against the LG Twins.
