Among the
recent remarkable achievements of Korean figure skating, we cannot forget the performance of Kim Ye-rim, known as the "figure general." We heard from the back of last season that it was like a roller coaster.

This is Kim Hyung-yeol.

Kim Ye-rim made headlines at last year's Beijing Olympics for his blistering exit after postponing, earning him the nickname "Figure General."

At the recent team trophy, he performed the "Figure General" ceremony, but after his free skate, he became a "crybaby" instead of a "general."

He brushed off the slump that followed in the second half of the season with the best performance of his life at the end and burst into tears.

[Kim Ye-rim/Figure Skating National: I think I burst into tears after feeling that 'I did it'. I don't like to show tears to other people..]

It's been a rollercoaster season for Kim Ye-rim.

He won his first gold medal at the Senior Grand Prix and advanced to the finals since Yuna Kim, but suffered back pain in the struggle and finished 18th at the World Championships, his biggest event.

[Kim Ye-rim/Figure Skating National: When I came back to training, I think it was hard to get my mind around as easily as before. The preparation period for the team trophy after the World Championships was also very difficult..]

Soaring brilliantly again from the team trophy, Kim Ye-rim ended the season happily, as the lyrics of the last gala show program suggested.

[Kim Ye-rim/Figure Skating National: (While acting gala) I thought this would be a 'happy ending'.]

Kim Ye-rim, who recently returned to training after undergoing treatment for a herniated disc, dreams of such a happy ending next season.

[Kim Ye-rim/Figure Skating National: We will do our best to continue to finish with a 'happy end' next season and into the next season.]
