Fabien Galthié's reaction to the announcement of the relapse of Matthieu Lartot, suffering from knee cancer, was expected. Not so much because it is the coach of the XV of France but because the two men have worked together at France Télévisions, to the point of becoming close. "I listened, first and foremost. I try, on my small scale, to be useful. I thought a lot about him, and I still think a lot about him. I think of his family, and his parents whom I know well. We must keep modesty about what we can say outside. »

Fabien Galthié also returned to the weekends spent with Matthieu Lartot to cover the matches of the Tournament and the European Cup, golf games and the aborted dream of the commentator, already because of his knee, at the age of 14. He hopes to be able to listen to France microphone during the World Cup. "He told me he wants to be there. [...] I feel like he's ready for this fight. [...] I'm his boyfriend.
