Saint-Germain are firmly marching towards the title and Angers towards the second division

Paris Saint-Germain continued its march steadily towards retaining the title and the eleventh record coronation, by achieving its third consecutive victory, making its host Angers as a relegation to the second division by beating it 2-1 Friday in the opening phase 32 of the French football league.
After two consecutive losses at home to Rennes 2-1 and Lyon 0-3, coach Christophe Galtier's team continued its awakening, which will not help much for the latter after the exit from the Champions League final at the hands of Bayern Munich (1975-3) on aggregate.
Thanks to a double by Kylian Mbappe, Saint-Germain achieved its sixteenth consecutive victory over Angers, who has not tasted victory over the capital club in all competitions since 1 (75-11 in the league), raising his tally to 10 points in the lead, 1 points ahead of rivals Marseille II, six stages before the end of the season.
Marseille on Sunday face a tough test with host Lyon, similar to Lens III, who is a point away from the Mediterranean club before Saturday's match with Monaco fourth.
Saint-Germain's road between now and the end of the season looks easy in order to win the record eleventh title and break up the partnership with Saint-Etienne (currently 18 each), as Lorient, Troyes, Ajaccio, Auxerre, Strasbourg and Clermont meet respectively in the remaining matches.
On the other hand, due to the league's decision to relegate four teams to the second division this season instead of three and the promotion of only two from the second division in order to reduce the number of teams in the "League 20" to 17 instead of <>, Angers became the first to be relegated logically, after his winning count stood at only three this season in last place, <> points behind the safety zone with six stages to go.
