Argentine player apologizes to Mbappe after vowing to send him to the ambulance

Argentine defender Faconda Medina apologized to Lens Thani French football league for what he had done as he claimed that he would send Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe in an ambulance, ahead of the highly anticipated clash between the two teams in the 31st stage.
Medina wrote on his Twitter page: "As for my remarks in an interview with an Argentine channel, I want to make it clear that it is a joke and has gone out of its true context. I will never behave like this with a colleague, even less with someone I respect because it doesn't reflect my values, whether as a person or as a professional."
The 23-year-old added: "My sincere apologies for this misunderstanding."
Saint-Germain lead the standings, 6 points ahead of direct chasers Lens (69 to 63) ahead of the match between them at the Parc des Princes on Saturday.
In an interview with Sun Avionis Twitch and reported by Le Parzien, the Argentine claimed it would be difficult to keep an eye on his compatriot Lionel Messi, 35, because he feared it would hurt him.
"If he dribbles me away, I'll come to him to hug him and ask him to hug me," the centre-back said. I will say +thank you for the World Cup," he said, referring to Messi's World Cup title win at the World Cup in Qatar last year.
Unlike Messi, Medina insisted he would not do the same with Mbappe, who scored his country's hat-trick against Argentina 3-3 before resorting to penalties in the World Cup final in Qatar (Argentina won 4-2).
"It's hard to monitor him too, but you know me. If Mbappe passes by me, he will need an ambulance to pick him up."
Medina also defended Messi, who is booed by some PSG fans: "I'm not angry, but what can you say to them. They are French... Don't disdain anyone, it's another culture. They are different. If they boo Messi, who has scored 14 goals and 14 assists, what can you do about it?"
