Mohamed Salah stirs controversy. Missing Liverpool training ahead of Arsenal summit

Mohamed Salah has sparked controversy among Liverpool fans after missing Liverpool's training ahead of Sunday's clash with Arsenal on matchday 30 of the Premier League, a game in which he is looking for a win in order to try to climb to fourth place qualifying for next season's Champions League.

According to the Liverpool Echo website, Mohamed Salah missed participating in Liverpool training, which the Reds played on Thursday before the important Arsenal match, at Anfield, Liverpool's stronghold, next Sunday

The site confirmed in its report that Liverpool training also saw the absence of the trio of Diego Gota and Arthur Melo along with Joe Gomez, while the Reds training saw the return of Thiago Alcantara to participate again in the session, after missing the last 10 games of the team due to a groin injury.

The report said that the absence of Mohamed Salah from the Liverpool training session comes against the backdrop of the decision of German coach Jurgen Klopp of the Reds, to give the player an additional day of rest in order to recover before the Arsenal match.

Naby Keita also continued to run as the player qualifies after suffering an injury during the international break with Guinea in March.

Liverpool are eighth in the Premier League and have collected 43 points from 12 wins, 7 draws and 9 losses so far.

Arsenal top the Premier League table with 72 points from 29 rounds, while defending champions Manchester City are runners-up with 64 points from 28 games so far.
