A fiery statement from the Sudanese Crescent and a complaint to "FIFA". Our relationship with Al-Ahli has changed

Al Hilal issued a statement on the events that took place in the team's match against Al Ahly of Egypt at the end of the group stage of the African Champions League competitions.

The statement read: "The whole world has followed the unfortunate events that took place in Cairo International Stadium on the night of Al-Hilal's meeting with Al-Ahly Club in Cairo, events that were premeditated and monitored by the fans of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club with an unprecedented departure from sportsmanship, and the decline into profanity, the elevation of hateful racist speech, the practice of hate speech and imaginary superiority in order to turn the stadium into a battlefield."

He added: "On the eve of that sad day, the fans of Al-Ahly have descended to the bottom of racism that has been fought and is still being fought by sports regulations and laws at the local, regional, continental and international levels."

He continued: "Offensive chants and hateful hate speech against Al-Hilal players, their management and the masses of the Sudanese people, makers of civilizations and builders of noble values, in addition to the chants of the bottom of the city, which the tongue of a normal person is unable to mention in general and in this holy month in particular."

"This ethical scandal, hateful racist behaviour and hate speech were evident in the days leading up to the match. The Egyptian media and social media sowed the seeds of this strife and promoted it with the same slogans chanted by Al Ahly fans in the stadium."

He added: "It is clear that there were "rehearsals" for these abuses and a tight plan to paralyze the movement of Al-Hilal players and administrative staff inside and outside the stadium, by sinful assault on Al-Hilal players verbally and physically, obstructing the progress of the administrative mission and the public, and throwing empty water bottles in light of the lack of protection of the security elements of the mission, some of whose members continued to chant the same offensive slogans.

"Al-Ahly media has been playing the chord of hateful hatred and destructive racism for a long time, and it was clear that this racist and misleading media seeks to corrupt the sport with racism and hateful hatred," he said.

He added: "The Board of Directors of Al Hilal Club sensed this ugly conspiracy that was prepared for it away from the rules of fair play, which blew up the historical relations between Al Hilal and Al Ahli, which was built and keen by administrators who know the value between the two clubs and before that between the two peoples of relations of sympathy and interdependence woven by history and fed by the great Nile River, which descends from the south of the valley, the cradle of civilizations and lofty values to the geographical north."

He explained: "The Board of Directors of Al-Hilal Club from an early period addressed CAF warning of the consequences of what will happen, supported by evidence that was clear pointing to hate speech, racism and obscene abuse, and demanded CAF to play the match behind closed doors while providing protection for the mission of Al-Hilal, which was rejected by CAF."

He pointed out that: "Because what happened exceeded Al-Hilal entity to Sudan, the great people, we in the Board of Directors of Al-Hilal Club will spare no effort and will spare no effort in rehabilitating Al-Hilal and Sudan in an unambiguous and unambiguous manner."

He added: "We appeal and hope that the Sudanese state, civil society organizations and parties will follow our example to condemn the racism to which the Sudanese people, represented by the Crescent team and its fans, have been subjected and demand that they be rehabilitated."

He continued: "We would like to point out in this regard that since the first Saturday of April, which is the saddest day in the history of football ever, we have embarked on the rehabilitation of Al-Hilal and Sudan, and we have opened channels of communication with the Confederation of African Football and we will submit to it the complaint, which is being drafted by a well-versed legal expert and one of the experts of sports laws in the world, in addition to the lawyer of Al-Hilal in Lausanne."

"All these profanities and fallen chants have been translated and documented in all languages and will be on the table of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and FIFA in the next few hours," he said.

He said: "Because the issue of lending a person his color or his smiles and describing him as slavery does not stop at the limit of Sudan and includes the entire African continent without exception, we are in contact with the respected African clubs that participate in the Champions Club Championship and the Confederation and we will benefit them in writing and through shuttle visits and in different languages in the opinion of the racist Ahli fans in Africa, its people and clubs."

"For FIFA, racism is a crime that deserves severe punishments, intolerance and no coexistence because it destroys the solid foundation of football, which was created to bring together, not to divide. FIFA has not and will not hesitate to impose the harshest and most severe penalties on the perpetrators of this heinous and heinous crime. The complaint will be received by videos, evidence and conclusive proofs."

He explained: "It is unfortunate that Al Ahly fans repeat the ugliness of the racist atrocities committed in 2018 against the Guinean team Liberty, which led to the imposition of a financial penalty on Al Ahly Club with a suspended penalty for playing without fans for two matches. The most important thing mentioned in this punishment is to urge Al-Ahly Club to raise the awareness of its fans about the consequences of racist discourse and to uphold the values of hatred."

He concluded: "We reassure the fans of Al-Hilal and the fans of the Sudanese people in general that our relationship with the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club is no longer what it was and we will not blink an eyelid until we recover the right of Al-Hilal and the Sudanese people in full and undiminished by seeking to impose severe penalties on Al-Ahly and its fans, and the football match has ended, but obscenity, abuse and insolence will not end up except by restoring the full rights undiminished. We are our pure servitude to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and we are the most honorable, as long as the most honorable with Allah is the most pious, and peace, mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you."
