The national team is satisfied with a friendly draw against Tajikistan

The UAE national football team was satisfied with a goalless draw against Tajikistan during the confrontation that brought them together on Saturday at Al Nahyan Stadium at Al Wahda Club in Abu Dhabi, as part of preparations for the upcoming external events, foremost of which are the 2023 Asian Cup finals and the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, knowing that the team will also play another friendly match on the 28th against Thailand.

The national team did not provide a convincing technical level and lacked offensive solutions, although the match represented a useful experience for the team and the technical staff, after it gave an opportunity to a number of young faces to participate in the team's squad to benefit from such friendly experiences.

Although the team was the initiator of the attack in the first half, it failed to reach the goal of the Tajikistan goalkeeper to end this half with a goalless draw, while the visitors were characterized by good tactical discipline.

The national team started affected in this match in the absence of key elements, most notably the team's top scorer Ali Mabkhout and Bandar Al-Ahbabi due to injury, while Argentine coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena relied on a squad that included a large number of young elements in order to gain more experience and contact.

The coach made substitutions in the national team in the second half, as goalkeeper Khaled Al-Sinani replaced Ali Khasif and also pushed each of Yousef Al-Muhairi, Ahmed Amer, Bilal Youssef and Tahnoun Al-Zaabi
, and the team's attempts in the second half failed to reach the Tajikistan goal after the team, which was the best in the last minutes of the match, wasted the match in a goalless draw.
