Real Madrid maintain the top spot in La Liga 'highest market value'
As Barcelona continue their successful start to regaining the La Liga title, Real Madrid remain at the top of the list of La Liga's top teams by market capitalization.
Despite the big jump achieved by 4 Barcelona players in the new assessment of the market values of La Liga players, issued by the site «Transfer Market» global statistics and numbers of players and teams, Real Madrid remained at the top of the list with a difference of about 90 million euros, as confirmed by the site in a report on the new market value of players and teams of the Spanish league.
The market value of the Real Madrid team increased from 851 to 860.5 million euros, an increase of 1.1%, and the market value of Barcelona rose from 762 to 767 million euros, an increase of 0.7%, while Atletico Madrid continued the series of declines in market value, falling from 489 to 457 million euros, a decline of 6.5%.
But the biggest drop in the new assessment went to Sevilla (12.9%), while Celta Vigo (15.9%) saw the biggest rise.
The new assessment saw the market value of 11 teams in La Liga increase compared to a decline in the market value of 9 teams, and the total market value of the 20 teams in the competition fell from 4.83 to 4.78 billion euros, a decline of 0.9%.
Real Madrid striker Vinicius Junior maintained the top spot in the list of players with the highest market value in La Liga, where the player's market value remained at 120 million euros, followed by Barcelona's Pedri with a market value of 100 billion euros, equal with Real Madrid's Federico Valverde.
Barcelona's Jaffe and Real Madrid's Aurilin Chuamini share the next place with a market value of €90m each, followed by Real Madrid's Brazilian striker Rodrigo (€80m).
Barcelona's Ronaldo Araujo was one of the biggest winners in the new valuation as his market value rose €10m to €70m, as did teammates Frenkie de Jong (€50 to €60 million) and goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen (€30 to €40 million).
In contrast, Barcelona striker Ansu Fati was one of the biggest losers in the new valuation as its market value continued to decline from 50 to 35 million euros, but this did not deprive Barcelona of the rise in the team's overall market value.
