The Director General of the Dubai Racing Club, Major General Dr. Mohammed Al-Adhab, confirmed that the club will provide 12,30 free Iftar meals to the audience of the "Dubai World Cup" evening, which starts tomorrow with its nine rounds with a total prize pool of $ 5.<> million, and is held for the first time in conjunction with the holy month.
Al-Adhab told Emirates Today: "The Dubai Racing Club was keen to provide free meals distributed to the audience of the evening, through boxes bearing a unified design, to be distributed at the entrance gates to the track."
He explained: «Cup Night since its inception in 1996, coincides for the first time with the month of Ramadan Mubarak, in a unique opportunity to highlight the Arab and Islamic culture, as the guests of the evening and the international media will be able to learn more about our Ramadan customs and traditions in the holy month, especially that the organizing committee, has identified many special places for Ramadan Iftar, whether public meals, or areas and restaurants that abound in the Meydan International Hotel and Racecourse, including hospitality suites for sponsors, or restaurants that offer a special Ramadan atmosphere for families. Sky Bubble is located at the hotel's highest point, with panoramic views of the race track at sunset, with an Iftar package starting from AED 600 per adult and AED 300 for children."
He added: «The audience has always been one of the factors of success in the evenings of (Dubai World Cup), and out of loyalty to this equestrian enthusiast, the sport of parents and grandparents, who usually fill the stands of the track, and being the first time that the evening with the holy month of Ramadan, came the club's decision to distribute free meals, in addition to allocating time spaces separating the evening's rounds for the Maghrib call to prayer, and Iftar, extending to the evening call to prayer.
He added: "The Cup Night is approaching its 30th year, and we are confident that it will continue to develop and attract everyone in all fields related to the horse industry, in addition to the accompanying events, and Dubai is a city that loves everything new and the evening is part of Danat Al Dunya, and from this point of view, we work annually to develop and develop this global event, which attracts every year the best owners and elite horses on the international stage."
