Son Heung-min, who joined the squad three months after the
Qatar World Cup, was coached by new coach Klinsmann in a cordial atmosphere.

Son Heung-min, who has captained the national team since 2018, is once again in charge of 'captain' at the Klinsmann.

[Son Heung-min/National Football Team Captain: I'm a little excited to try to match up with the new manager, and I think the most important thing is how we can get the fastest fit in with the manager, rather than really asking him to do anything.]

Son Heung-min said he had heard a lot about Klinsmann, the 'senior' who played for Tottenham in the mid-1990s,

[Son Heung-min/National Football Team Captain: (How did you feel about meeting 'Tottenham senior' as manager?) It's very special. I was looking forward to seeing the (Tottenham) club say they were glad to have met such a good person.]

He said he would work with the players to embody the attacking football that the manager is pursuing.

[Son Heung-min/National Football Team Captain: You said you would play hot football, so I hope we can take advantage of this rather than burden and play the 'attacking football' that the manager wants.]

He vowed to continue his Qatar World Cup last-16 glory to win the Asian Cup next year.

[Son Heung-min/National Football Team Captain: The biggest dream is to bring back to South Korea the trophy that South Korea has not been able to bring for a long time, the Asian Cup.]
