Kahraba returns to Egypt's squad to face Malawi

Reinstated Portuguese coach Rui Vitoria Egypt first team today Mahmoud Abdel Moneim "Kahraba" striker Al Ahly to the final squad that will play a camp this month before playing two matches in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers. Kahraba scored a hat-trick in Al Ahly's 4-<> victory over Cameroon's Coton Spor yesterday in the fifth and penultimate round of the group stage of the African Champions League.

The federation said on its Facebook page that the technical staff of the first team, led by Vitoria, announced the final list of players who will enter a camp this month, including two matches against Malawi on March 24 and 28 in the third and fourth round of qualifiers for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The 28-year-old returned to action in January after a long 15-month suspension to shine with his Al Ahly team before returning to the Egyptian squad. Egypt are fourth and last in Group D with three points, three points behind Ethiopia, Malawi and Guinea, each of whom has the same balance after the first two rounds.
